Shaping the NEW

KUNSTrePUBLIK lecture at the "Kosice - European Capital of Culture 2013, n.o." international conference from June 27–29, 2011 in Kosice, Slovakia.

The NGO "Kosice  - European Capital of Culture 2013, n.o." and the Goethe Institute Bratislava host the international conference "Shaping the NEW" from the 27th - 29th of June 2011 in  Kosice, Slovakia.

International artists, cultural manager and experts will discuss the situation of artists and artistic mobility in the 21st century from scientific, political and practical views. What is the influence of artist mobility and artist-in-residence programs on creative work? How does the artistic appropriation of a new surrounding during the residency work? What are the effects of residency programs on the local environment (culture scene, creative industry, tourism)?
KUNSTrePUBLIK will talk about its Residency programm (Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik) starting in autumn 2012 (www.zku-berlin.org).
